The position and significance of the ports are of great importance for the economic structure in Bremen and for Germany as a business location. This includes a demand-oriented port infrastructure as well as the guarantee of speedy work and security in the ports.
The port charges collected from the ships are also used to finance these tasks.
The Senator of Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports has commissioned bremenports with levying and collecting the port charges. This also applies to the expenditures of individual providers of port services, such as the port pilots in Bremen and Bremerhaven.
Besides ensuring smooth and prompt billing of the ships, we advise the port sector in all matters relating to dues and charges.
