bremenports publishes Sustainability Report 2022
Sustainability, market presence & port development, climate protection, environmental management and social responsibility: the eighth Sustainability Report published by the port management company bremenports covers 192 pages and provides a comprehensive overview of sustainability management at the company locations in Bremen and Bremerhaven.
bremenports Managing Director Robert Howe states, “We regard sustainability management as a continuous development process in which we also involve other stakeholders at the port locations. Achieving the sustainable port can only succeed as a joint undertaking.” That was the reason why bremenports conducted a digital stakeholder dialogue in 2021. The results were taken into account in the latest assessment which served as the basis for identifying the central sustainability topics.
The Sustainability Report 2022 provides a general outline of the individual topics as well as details of the current goals and measures. Each chapter refers to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Report, which was audited by TÜV NORD, thus contains a comprehensive overview of the port management company’s highly diverse activities, while interviews in the chapters on adaptation to climate change, working conditions in marine shipping and energy management take a closer look at these subjects.
The latest online Sustainability Report is available here on the bremenports website, where it can also be downloaded as a PDF.
