Hydrogen in the Maritime Economy – Projects from & for the Region

The usage of hydrogen as energy source is at the moment more present than ever before.

North Germany provides ideal conditions for the construction of a green hydrogen economy (cf. Key Issues Paper of the Federal States of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein on the North German Hydrogen Strategy), hence the use of hydrogen as energy source in the marine economy will become more important, especially as green hydrogen will play a major role when utilising the sector coupling effect.

Several local and international projects concerning the production, storage and utilisation of hydrogen as energy source keep pushing the implementation and realisation of this innovative technology. We would like to present to you some trend-setting projects and give you the opportunity to learn from each other and have the chance for some networking. Thus, we would like to invite you to the 6th Network Meeting of the North-West Ports.

Your facilitators will be Katja Baumann, CEO Maritime Competence Centre from Leer and Andreas Born, Maritime Cluster North Germany MCN e.V. from Bremen.

The event is free of charge. Please note that we have a limited number of seats available, which is why we kindly ask you to send in your binding registration by 11.06.2019 to nordwesthaefen@bremenports.de or nordwesthaefen@nports.de.

The venue for this event will be the t.i.m.e.Port II building in Bremerhaven, Barkhausenstrasse 2.

If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate and contact us.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Bremerhaven!
